The board meeting was called to order at 13:20. Present
were Brian Rothfuss,
Brandon Slaten, Janice Gott, Bob Dickhoff, James Klausner,
Bret Halford, Brett
Paul, Dana Harrod, John Edwards, Jacqueline Heaney, Drew
Davidson, and Vanessa
Michel.
Charlie Abrams-Flohr gave his proxie to Jacqueline Heaney.

Motion to approve the minutes from May. (Jackie, James,
by acclaim).
Brian’s updated on the backboard. He
is waiting for more information, because
he doesn’t like what he has found.
Old Business
-Budget Discussion. Motion to approve the budget, as of the
latest revision
submitted. (James, Brandon, by acclaim).
-Metro Denver Merge Status: No progress.
-Wish list from IFGS-DB: No report
-Reinstating the IFGS trademark status: Waiting for society
to have a meeting
and let us know what their plan is.
-Ben Con Summary: 25 to 30 names were collected. All people
got a phone call.
-Committee Chair letter: James passed out a draft and comments
were made, over
all consensus is that it looked good.
-Going through old melees to pull out old policies has been
put on hold until
fall; James doesn’t have the time currently.
Committee Reports
Elections: None
Treasury: Got the projected budget completed. As of March
31, 2005, Kaaren
Davis will resign from being the treasurer.
Registry: Needs to have a party to enter information and
count ballots. Some
discussion about reps.
Sanctioning: We ran a successful game, One of Those Days,
last weekend. SC is
holding its next meeting on July 1, with a discussion about
raising vermin-in
training to vermin.
Quartermaster: Car Ports need to be dealt with, they have
water in them and a
few of the items inside have molded. Dana is the quartermaster
rep for Fluff
and the Bunnies.
Safety: One of Those Days had no injuries. There are now
Whistles for sale for
$1 at game sites.
IT: No Report
Awards: No Report
Membership: We still have members, and have gotten a few
new members.
Newsletter/Melee: The Melee went out to over a hundred people.
They want more
member submissions.
Chapter Archivist: Two filing cabinets at Normans that need
to be picked up.
New Business
Membership requirements: Discussion about how this chapter
wants to enforce the
society rule that you have to have a membership to play.
You are allowed two
games without a membership and then it is required. No membership,
no play.
There is an associates membership for $2 that allows you
to just NPC. Melee
article is going to be written to make sure that the membership
is aware of this
policy.
Producer award discussion. Motion to award the IFGS Society
Producer Award to
inactive and current members of the Denver/Boulder chapter
based on all games,
either from our Chapter or from other chapters, that they
have written and/or
produced. We will also inform currently active chapters for
whose games we use
to make this award about the award and the games used to
determine the award.
