about more formalized training for committee members on topics including using
blue book, rating games, balancing fights and working with savvies. Hell and
Back 3 will run in a week, with discussion. We have a couple more games running
this fall. New members to the sanctioning committee are Cady Paul and Ray
Michel. Bret Halford said, “people need to be registered by September 1, for
Kung Fool.” If there are not enough people pre-registered then it will be
postponed.

Quartermaster: Came up with some proposed policies, which will be printed in the
Melee. They want feedback. The board gave their feedback.

Safety: CPR class is being held on September 11, 2004 and needs to be
pre-register and paid by September 7, 2004. Then we also need to look into
safety policies and forms in light of HIPPA.

anyone wants to take over the membership chair then they should step forward.

Melee: It is publishing. We have had comments about Melee that we have the
hands down best Newsletters.

Archivist: John Jones has asked for some information. Want to put down a brief
history of games with synopsis.

put $40 aside per year for renewal. In 5 years they have to renew for free and
10 years they have to renew for fee. We are registering the IFGS logo on the
IFGS rulebook.

Discussion about new rules set and the concerns that this chapter has.

Also talk about getting a field rulebook. Going to talk to society to get
permission to copy parts of the rules books. Going to also talk to California
chapter to see what they have been doing. Charlie is going to be doing this.

Talk about California’s optional rules and the collection of them. Charlie
found about trade skills, from their chapter. Would like to look at adding some
of these skills to D/B’s optional rules set. Let’s bring it to the GW
consortium.

Cap for Gold discussion is going to be held when Drew attends, at the next
meeting.

Discussion about awards banquet game.
