| Cook Park weapons practices are set
to start up again on Sunday, April 25th.
They run from about noon until maybe 3 or 4.
Weapons practices are held at Cook Park every
Sunday unless it is a game
weekend, from late April through mid-Sept. Even if you do not feel like swinging
foam, it is a good chance to meet other IFGS members, talk about upcoming or
past games, or just to socialize and have a good time. Children are welcome
- a
playground and restrooms are nearby. Bring your own water, sunscreen, snacks,
etc. Lots of open space for fighting, team meetings, or what have you, as well
as shady trees for lounging under and a stream to cool your feet in.
Directions to Cook Park:
The I-25/Evans exit is closed due to TRex, so take I-25 to the Colorado Blvd
or
Hampden Ave exit and travel East to Monaco
OR take I-225 to Iliff and head west to Monaco
OR head up Monaco from the tech center.
Go north on Monaco to past Evans, past Mexico,
to Cherry Creek and turn right
(you will be going past the northwest corner of the park). There is some parking
along the street or take the first right into the parking lot. If you're coming
from the north, travel south on Monaco past Leetsdale, past Mississippi, then
over the bridge and left on Cherry Creek. The gathering is in the NorthWest
corner of the park, near the bridge with a large tree and picnic table beside
it.
